               The Somerset County Photography Club (SCPC) will meet on
              Tuesday March 25, 2008 at 7:30 p.m.

                       "Landscapes and Gardens"

All persons interested in photography are welcome to join members of  
the Club for this presentation.

"In both the man-made garden and the natural landscape,  the   
photographer must  be able to recognize the beauty and record it with  
personal style. The photographer must carefully approach it in the  
best way by using an interesting viewpoint, lighting and plant  
material to create the composition.  It's all about controlling as  
many things in the photograph as you can."....Nancy Ori

This presentation will explore some of the key issues in the art of  
landscape and garden photography.  Nancy Ori will share her secrets  
on both technique and esthetics.  She will suggest what she feels is  
worth shooting, how to compose a picture, how to shoot in different  
lighting and weather conditions and how to expose correctly.   
Included will be many helpful hints for the traveling landscape and  
garden photographer.

Nancy Ori has over 35 years experience as a professional  
photographer, teacher and exhibitor here and abroad.   Founder and  
Director of the New Jersey Photography Forum and Digital Arts Group  
at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey in Summit, she  is on the  
faculty of VAC and has taught at the Ansel Adams Workshop in CA,  
numerous art and museum facilities locally and the Watchung Adult  
School. For 17 years, Nancy has led a series of workshops each year  
in Cape May during the spring and over the last several years has  
also run destination workshops in the fall to locations like Santa  
Fe, France and Italy.

The Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday evenings of each month  
(September through June) at the Bound Brook Memorial Library.   
Programs include competitions and/or instructional presentations.
