Draft flyer for 9/25: . THE BASICS OF PHOTOGRAPHY EXPLAINED September 25, 2007 7:30 p.m. to 9 P.M. At its regular meeting at the Bound Brook Library, 4l0 High Street, Bound Brook,N.J. 08805, on September 25, The Somerset County Photography Club will present “Camera Handling & Operation” Part I - a hands-on program covering basic camera use (film and digital) by Ed Barry. All persons interested in photography are welcome and visitors, as well as members, are encouraged to bring their film or digital cameras to the presentation. Ed, who is a past president of the Somerset County Photograph Club, is well known in New Jersey photography circles, both as a superb photographer and as a teacher of photography. He has taught well over 1500 adult students in his workshops and courses at the Jointure and the Waterloo Foundation for the Arts and is teaching classes and workshops in Hillsborough for the Jointure this Fall and next Spring . Topics will include exposure, depth of field, lens perspective and other steps necessary to obtain the best photo or image possible in varying circumstances. This program is a must “how to” for beginners - a must refresher for the more experienced photographer. Note: At the November 20, 2007 meeting Ed will present Part II which will deal with more advanced camera techniques as well as provide useful tips not generally found elsewhere.
