SOMERSET COUNTY PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB (graphic) The Somerset County Photography Club (SCPC) will meet on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. "Pictures You Love to Hate - Issues in Contemporary Color Photography" by Professor Joel Morgovsky Joel Morgovsky, a professor of Psychology at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ is well known for his lectures and writings on the relationship between psychology and photography. His name is also familiar in the photography world as an exhibiting photographer in black and white and color in the tri-state area since l977. Professor Morgovsky is a member and past-chairman, Portfolio Review Committee, of the Soho Photo Gallery in New York City, the nation's oldest and largest cooperative photo gallery. He is on the speaker's list of the NJ Federation of Camera Clubs and is a frequent lecturer and judge at camera clubs throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. His presentation will provide a detailed look at portfolios from 3 highly regarded modern color photographers (John Pfahl, Joel Meyerowitz and William Eggleston) in order to discover what is special in their genre. Guests are invited to attend this educational program The Club meets on the 2d and 4th Tuesday evenings of each month (September through June) at the Bound Brook Memorial Library.
